ChatGPT's connector UI moves around between releases. The steps below match the dashboard's MCP page, which is updated when the product changes; if they disagree, follow the dashboard.

## Steps [#steps]

1. Copy the **Server URL** and **Connector name** from the dashboard under Settings, then API, then MCP.
2. In the ChatGPT desktop app, open **Plugins**, then the **MCPs** tab, click **Add**, and choose **MCP server**.
3. Enter the name, switch the **Type** to **Streamable HTTP**, and paste the server URL. Leave the token and header fields empty, then click **Save**.
4. Sign in to General Input when prompted and choose **Allow**.
5. When ChatGPT asks to confirm an action, approve it and choose to remember the choice. It applies for the rest of the conversation.

## Notes [#notes]

* ChatGPT does not render the connector's widgets; connect links and resource links arrive as text.
* The connector acts as the account you signed in with, in the workspace named by the URL.
