Memory

A workspace carries a memory: standing instructions, conventions, and reference material its agents have accumulated. Each member has a personal memory too. An agent working through geni should read it before starting anything non-trivial, because what is written there overrides its defaults, and file back what it learns.

• geni memory show prints the memory guide and anything already queued.
• geni memory remember queues a change.

Memory is never edited directly from the CLI. The workspace's memory agent is the only writer; a note you file is folded in on its next run and reconciled against everything else it knows.

Workspace or personal

Workspace memory is shared with the whole team. Keep it about the business and the work, never about a person. Anything specific to you goes to --personal.

When to file

Reach for remember when a correction or convention would still matter next week and is not already recorded. Skip one-off details, anything show already lists, and anything you only half know: a wrong memory is worse than a missing one. Phrase the note as the change to make ("deploys go out Tuesdays"), not a summary of the session.
